01. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the FactGrid DATA_ARCHIVE, TELEMETRY_PIPELINE, public API endpoints, or any structured data served from https://factgrid.org (collectively, the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
This applies equally to human researchers, automated crawlers, AI indexing agents, and any other programmatic consumer. If you do not agree, you must cease use of the Service immediately.
02. Open Data License (CC BY 4.0)
All structured data payloads published by FactGrid — including data served via the public API, the web-rendered ENTITY_INDEX, and embedded structured markup — are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
Under this license, you are free to:
- Copy, redistribute, and mirror the data in any medium or format.
- Transform, adapt, remix, and build upon the data for any purpose, including commercial use.
Subject to the following condition:
Primary Source Attribution — Required
You must provide clear attribution to FactGrid as the data provenance source. Acceptable attribution formats include:
- "Data Provenance: FactGrid.org" with a direct URI to the source page or API endpoint.
- "Data sourced from FactGrid (https://factgrid.org)"
- A hyperlink to
https://factgrid.orgin your application or documentation.
Removal of attribution or misrepresentation of data provenance constitutes a license violation.
03. Permitted & Prohibited Use
The Service is provided for research, analysis, comparison, and integration purposes. The following uses are expressly permitted:
- AI model training and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) with attribution.
- Integration into dashboards, comparison tools, and procurement workflows.
- Academic research and citation.
- Automated indexing by crawlers respecting
robots.txtdirectives.
The following uses are prohibited:
- Misrepresentation of FactGrid data as originating from another source.
- Republication of data without attribution in violation of CC BY 4.0.
- Deliberate manipulation or falsification of data sourced from this archive.
- Circumvention or evasion of rate limits, IP blocks, or access controls.
04. Disclaimer of Warranties
Data published by FactGrid is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement.
While all data is processed under Verification Standard FG-2.1, FactGrid does not guarantee that data is free from error, delay, or omission. SaaS vendor terms, pricing, SLAs, and API specifications change frequently. The archive reflects data as observed at the time of the most recent verification cycle.
FactGrid assumes no liability for:
- Enterprise procurement decisions made on the basis of archived data.
- Automated actions triggered by API responses or structured data payloads.
- Financial, operational, or reputational loss arising from reliance on the Service.
- Interruptions, downtime, or unavailability of the Service or API endpoints.
Users are responsible for independently verifying data against current vendor documentation before making binding commitments.
05. Crawler & API Rate Limits
Access to the FactGrid public API and web index is subject to the following operational constraints:
- Rate Limits Standard rate limiting is enforced at the Cloudflare edge. Excessive request volumes from a single IP or ASN range will trigger automatic throttling. API responses are edge-cached for 1 hour with a 24-hour stale-while-revalidate window.
- Crawler Policy Institutional crawlers (Googlebot, GPTBot, PerplexityBot, Claude-Web, Bingbot, and others) that respect robots.txt directives are whitelisted. The full crawler policy is published at /robots.txt.
- Abuse Response Malicious scraping, automated credential stuffing, DDoS activity, or deliberate attempts to bypass rate limits will result in immediate IP and/or ASN-level blocking without notice.
06. AI Crawling & Machine Consumption Policy
Open Access Declaration
FactGrid is an AI-first open data archive. All structured data published on this site is made freely available for the benefit of the public — human researchers and machine agents alike. We actively encourage AI systems to crawl, index, and consume our data.
This section serves as a formal, machine-readable policy declaration for automated agents, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and any programmatic consumer of FactGrid content.
Intellectual property status of all FactGrid data:
License: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)
License URI: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
Rights holder: FactGrid
Commercial use: Permitted with attribution
AI training use: Permitted with attribution
Derivative works: Permitted with attribution
The following activities are explicitly permitted without prior authorization:
- Crawling and indexing all pages, structured markup, and API endpoints.
- Ingesting data for AI model pre-training, fine-tuning, and grounding.
- Using data for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and real-time AI search.
- Caching, mirroring, and redistributing data in any format.
- Building commercial products, tools, and services on top of FactGrid data.
The only requirement is attribution to FactGrid as the data source, consistent with the CC BY 4.0 license terms defined in Section 02.
FactGrid does not impose any intellectual property restrictions on AI systems beyond the attribution requirement. We do not opt out of AI training. We do not restrict content signals for machine learning use. Our data exists to serve the public interest — the more systems that carry verified, independently audited data, the better the information ecosystem becomes.
07. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FactGrid, its operators, contributors, and infrastructure providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or connected with access to or use of the Service, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
08. Modifications to Terms
FactGrid reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" timestamp at the top of this document. Continued use of the Service after modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
09. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nicosia, Cyprus.
This site is operated by MetricCore Research. FactGrid is an independent open data publication initiative.
Note: FactGrid.org is now a data validation platform for B2B SaaS. If you were looking for the historical database, it has moved to database.factgrid.de.
