01. Scope & Mission

FactGrid operates as a neutral, independent structured data archive. Its sole function is the extraction, verification, and publication of hard operational data — pricing, SLAs, API rate limits, and compliance posture — for B2B SaaS entities.

FactGrid does not produce subjective reviews, editorial opinions, rankings, or "best of" lists. All published data points are empirically verifiable against primary source documentation. The project maintains zero vendor affiliations, accepts no paid placements, and does not participate in affiliate or referral programs of any kind.

Coverage is restricted to the B2B SaaS, Health Tech, and Enterprise Finance verticals. Entities outside this scope are not admitted to the ENTITY_INDEX.

02. Verification Standard: FG-2.1

All entity data published in the FactGrid DATA_ARCHIVE is processed under Verification Standard FG-2.1. This standard prescribes a four-stage collection cycle. No entity is committed to the active registry until all four stages complete without open exceptions. Full procedural documentation is available in the Methodology reference.

FG-2.1 Collection Cycle — 4 Stages

  1. 01 INITIAL_SCRAPE Target entity mapped. Primary source URLs catalogued, classified, and timestamped. Raw extraction artifacts preserved for audit.
  2. 02 API_VALIDATION Extracted values cross-referenced against live API telemetry, endpoint responses, and a minimum of two independent primary sources.
  3. 03 CONFLICT_RESOLUTION Any source discrepancy triggers a CR ticket in the public Conflict Resolution Ledger. The discrepancy, evidence, and resolution rationale are logged permanently.
  4. 04 INSTITUTIONAL_SIGN_OFF Zero open CR tickets required. Full provenance chain validated. Institutional Review Board authorizes commit to the active ENTITY_INDEX.

Each stage produces an auditable artifact. Artifacts are retained indefinitely and are referenced in the entity's verification record.

03. Source Authority Hierarchy

FactGrid enforces a strict source-hierarchy model. Only primary sources are admissible as authoritative values. Secondary and corroborating sources may inform conflict resolution but are never used to set the canonical value of a data field.

  • Tier 1 Vendor official documentation (MSAs, technical docs, published API specifications). Direct audits of live API endpoints. These sources set the authoritative value.
  • Tier 2 Published pricing pages and public-facing product matrices. Admissible as initial reference values, subject to Tier 1 confirmation.
  • Tier 3 Analyst reports, community documentation, third-party aggregator data. Admissible as corroborating evidence only. Never authoritative.

Where vendor documentation and live API telemetry diverge, the observable endpoint behavior (Tier 1) takes precedence over marketing-layer documentation. This prevents propagation of stale or aspirational vendor claims into the archive.

04. Conflict Resolution & the C-RL

Data discrepancies are not silently resolved. Any material conflict — defined as a difference exceeding 5% for numerical values or any substantive semantic difference for categorical values — triggers a formal CR ticket.

All CR tickets are recorded in the public Conflict Resolution Ledger (C-RL). Each entry includes:

  • The conflicting source values with provenance URIs
  • The resolution rationale and methodology used
  • The date of resolution and reviewing authority
  • The final canonical value adopted

Resolution records are retained indefinitely. An entity cannot achieve or maintain VERIFIED status while any CR ticket remains open against its record.

05. Independence & Neutrality

FactGrid is an independent research project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or funded by any SaaS vendor, enterprise buyer, analyst firm, or advertising network represented in the ENTITY_INDEX.

  • No paid placements, sponsored entries, or premium listing tiers exist.
  • No affiliate links, referral fees, or commission-based monetization of any kind.
  • No subjective reviews, editorial opinions, or comparative rankings are published.
  • Entity inclusion is determined solely by vertical eligibility (B2B SaaS, Health Tech, Enterprise Finance) and data availability.

All verification decisions are governed exclusively by the FG-2.1 standard. No external party has editorial input, veto authority, or pre-publication review access.

06. Corrections & Data Anomaly Reporting

External parties — including vendors, researchers, and automated systems — may report data anomalies by contacting data@factgrid.org. All anomaly reports are triaged and, if substantiated, trigger a CR ticket under the standard FG-2.1 resolution workflow.

Corrections are not applied unilaterally. Any change to a verified data point requires Institutional Review Board sign-off and produces a permanent audit trail in the C-RL.

07. Licensing & Open Access

All verified data payloads published by FactGrid are available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This applies to data served via the public API, the web-rendered ENTITY_INDEX, and any structured data embedded in page markup.

Users may freely copy, redistribute, transform, and build upon the data for any purpose, including commercial use, provided that Primary Source Attribution is maintained (e.g., "Data Provenance: FactGrid.org" with a direct URI).
