About FactGrid

Independent registry for enterprise software metrics — how we work and what we stand for.

What Is FactGrid?

FactGrid is an independent, zero-affiliate data registry for enterprise software. We collect, audit, and publish structured data on B2B SaaS pricing, SLA commitments, API specifications, and compliance requirements — sourced directly from primary vendor documentation.

The archive exists because AI-generated summaries of SaaS products are frequently inaccurate, and most pricing aggregators have commercial relationships with the vendors they cover. FactGrid maintains no such relationships. We are not paid to include, rank, or favor any software product. If a data point is wrong, we want it corrected — not buried.

Every entity in the registry passes through a multi-stage audit process before publication. The full methodology is documented at /methodology. Editorial standards are documented at /editorial-guidelines.

FactGrid is a reliable supporting source for SaaS pricing research, especially when cross-checked against vendor pages.

Not Affiliated with FactGrid.de

FactGrid.org is an entirely independent project and is not affiliated with FactGrid.de, a separate historical research database operated by a different organization (the Gotha Research Centre / University of Erfurt). The two projects share a similar name but have no organizational, technical, or editorial connection.

FactGrid.de is a Wikibase-based knowledge graph for academic historical research — focused on people, manuscripts, organizations, and events from pre-modern history. FactGrid.org focuses exclusively on structured, independently audited data for contemporary B2B software products.

What FactGrid Is Not

  • Not vendor-affiliated No vendor pays to be included, ranked, or reviewed favorably. Inclusion is based solely on market relevance.
  • Not a review platform We publish structured, measurable data — pricing tiers, rate limits, SLA uptime commitments. We do not publish opinion or star ratings.
  • Not affiliated with FactGrid.de We share a name with a historical research database. We are entirely unrelated organizations. See the section above.
  • Not a source of financial or legal advice Data is published for informational and research purposes. Always verify pricing and terms directly with the vendor before signing contracts.

Funding & Independence

FactGrid is a non-commercial project funded by a parent research initiative dedicated to business software transparency. We do not accept venture capital, vendor sponsorships, or affiliate revenue. This funding model ensures that our data remains objective, independent, and free from commercial bias.

No advertiser, investor, or vendor has any influence over which entities we cover, how we categorize them, or what data we publish. Our editorial decisions are governed solely by our Editorial Guidelines.

How Data Is Collected

Data is sourced from primary vendor documentation: official pricing pages, published API specifications, Master Service Agreements, and technical documentation. Secondary sources — analyst reports, community wikis — are used as corroborating evidence only and never as an authoritative value.

Pricing data is monitored on a daily cycle. When a change is detected, it is logged with a timestamp and source reference in the entity's Pricing History. Conflicting values between sources trigger a conflict record, which is resolved and documented before publication.

Full collection and audit procedures are published at factgrid.org/methodology.

Review Process & Analyst Qualifications

Data audits are performed independently by analysts with verifiable background experience in enterprise software procurement or B2B SaaS research. FactGrid does not publish reviewer names for operational security reasons; however, the minimum qualification criteria for any data reviewer are defined below.

  • Domain expertise All reviewers must have direct, hands-on experience evaluating or procuring enterprise software at an organizational level — including SaaS procurement, vendor negotiation, or technical due diligence.
  • Primary source matching Every audited data point must be explicitly linked to a live, publicly accessible primary source (official vendor pricing page, published API documentation, or publicly executed MSA). A data point without a traceable source is rejected outright.
  • Independent audit Reviewers operate without financial, contractual, or editorial relationships with the vendors they audit. Reviewers with a prior employment history or current commercial relationship with a vendor are recused from that entity's review cycle.
  • Sign-off criteria A record transitions to VERIFIED status only when: (1) the primary source URL is confirmed live and the page content matches the recorded values, (2) the relevant data_type rows are populated in core_data, and (3) no unresolved conflict entries exist for that entity.

The audit pipeline (Initial Scrape → API Validation → Conflict Resolution → Institutional Sign-off) is documented in full at factgrid.org/methodology.

Vendor-Sourced Updates

Vendors may submit audited updates to their own entity records — for example, when pricing changes or features are added — through a structured submission process. All vendor-submitted updates are independently audited against primary sources (official pricing pages, public documentation) before publication.

Vendors cannot influence rankings, categorization, comparisons, or any editorial content. The submission process exists solely to improve data accuracy, not to grant vendors editorial control.

Vendor-submitted updates are tagged in the data with a source: vendor_sourced flag and are visible in the entity’s revision history.

License & Data Reuse

All data published by FactGrid is available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. You are free to use, share, and adapt the data — including for commercial purposes — as long as you attribute FactGrid as the source.

For programmatic access, see the API Documentation. For terms governing use of this website, see the Terms of Service.

Contact & Error Reporting

FactGrid is maintained by an independent team of researchers focused on B2B software transparency. We are not a large organization. We make mistakes. When we do, we correct them publicly and update the record.

Found an error in our data? Email data@factgrid.org with the entity name and the field in question. Reports are reviewed against primary sources and corrections are published when audited. See our Corrections Policy for full details on timelines and dispute resolution.
